DIMENSIONING AND LOCALIZATION OF A RURAL BIODIGESTER FOR THE SETTLEMENT TRANGOLA

Abstract

Methane gas, present in biogas through the anaerobic transformation of organic waste, is a gas about twenty times more polluting than carbon dioxide (CO2), being one of the main agents of the greenhouse effect. Usually this gas was only seen as a by-product of the anaerobic decomposition of organic waste. However, the diffusion of the discussions on environmental issues, in addition to the constant fuel prices has encouraged the production of energy from new sources alternative and economically viable. In rural communities, isolated and / or low income from the lack of energy sources for productive, cooking and heating purposes, it is. A big problem. Due to the conditions, the rural population usually uses firewood as a source of heat in the kitchen, but it is a resource that must be preserved, since deforestation aggravates drought, soil erosion and endangered flora and fauna. the fauna of the ecosystem, as well as harming the health of people who are exposed daily to smoke. In view of the above, this work consists in the process of designing and locating a rural biodigestor of the Indian type for the production of biogas and biofertilizer using as base the production of manure by the cattle of the settlement Trangola, approaching from the choice of the type of biodigestor to be used based on the needs of the settlement to the aspects that must be taken into account to choose the place where the equipment should be built.
